Any of the various desktop search programs can be used for this purpose. You just have to file the information as it comes in, and configure the DT search to index those locstions.

I would like to take all of the tech information that I find by googling, receive from lists, read in articles, etc., & keep it in a database that I can search when I need this info in the future. Sort of like a helpdesk without the customer info, tracking stuff, etc. Fred Langa had one listed in his newsletter but it doesn't seem to work that well & their email addy bounces back, so I don't think they in business or are not organized very well. The app looks like what I'm looking for, but I haven't gotten it to work yet. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! -- C L Shaw <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> -- ---------------------------------------- The WIN-HOME mailing list is powered by L-Soft's renowned LISTSERV(R) list management software.
