I was looking at a Staples Canada web site http://tinyurl.com/8z946 . The accompanying photo and descriptor says "external" thus my question. However, when I travelled to the Sony web site http://tinyurl.com/cxxs5 I found more information: "Dual Interfaces -- Connect via USB 2.0 or i.LINK (FireWire/IEEE1394 compatible).
