IMHO this [the Backup] is the most important reason to upgrade.

How very true indeed everyone needs the ability to backup and secure their
data from disaster. But IMHO I use Ghost 10 for this.

Blu-Ray disks & drive aren't even out yet & most people can't handle 
HD video as of yet so these are a waste of time for now.

But I see only one very obvious advantage here: you'll already have the
software to write to blu-ray disks and won't have to buy any and there will
be upgrades to Nero as the blu-ray tech improves over time. Just because a
technology isn't avilaible doesn't mean that it's simply a waste of time
because in that since there's none to waste since Nero is already prepped
for blu-ray tech. ;)
