I've sold things on eBay and taken PayPal as payment. There was no charge for the PayPal transaction. The charges were for listing and selling on eBay, which are incurred regardless of the method of payment. Setting up a merchant account with PayPal may be another story, but for the average individual, it is just as "free" as any of them.

BidPay.com is owned and operated by First Data Corporation, which is also the parent company of Western Union. Payment is delivered in the form of a money order. This info came from Wikipedia. I've never used this service myself.

What if the hokey-pokey really is what it's all about?
