Hi,

My last post on this was 1st Nov. Since then, my client wants TV over Internet. This means a new router, placed near the TV (I agreed to take back & he agreed to pay rent on the one I installed 2 months ago!). We extended the phone cable & tested the range of the existing router in this new environment - Wifi coverage is minimum "3 bars" all over the house now, so I get to sell him a USB Wifi adapter (for the PC on line#2) after all! The main PC stays wired to the router, for simplicity in case of config changes.

The main lesson from all this concerns the position of the router - central in 3 dimensions, not just 2! Maybe I could have used a more efficient antenna?

Regards,

Richard

Happy zoob to all!
