Problem is, many webpages have "tables" that include the complete
website directory -- along the sides, or header or footer.
Some have tables within table with tables &/or forms within forms
within forms & both of these types make it difficult to archive a
copy of the page.
In the meantime, maybe a workaround :
Download a link directly into FrontPage (or other HTML editor),
copy the desired section, and paste it into a new blank page.
Save it, and run the website downloader on the new page -- if it
will handle offline pages....
I usually edit out in FP the extra table or form data then save the
resulting html file to a temp folder then open it in IE & save it out
as a .mht file which is an archived html but the advantage here is
all the images & stuff are embedded into the page & there is no need
to have the images saved in a separate folder. Unlike the website
downloaders the links aren't rewritten so that one could have page 1
& page 2 etc on your machine with one calling the other. With sites
like Tom's after I edit the 1st page the way I want it then I just
copy-n-paste the other data from the other pages then as above save
it to a temp folder then convert that to a .mht resulting in one file
with all the data that I do want & none of the ads or miscellaneous stuff.
