Nero for Windows is where it's at. For dvd based backup, NTI or Stomp takes the cake. Lots of opensource choices for unices, K3b is a nice one, plus all the usual command line tools. Actually come to think of it, Nero has a linux version, not used it, most of the reviews of ver 1.0 said it was substandard, however I've heard ver 2.0 is supposed to be a lot better.
