I might guess more like 8 years, but you never know.
You need to know the number of pins the memory has
AND (for that vintage), the MEMORY voltage the MB
is set for... Approx 3 OR 5. (Fuzzy numbers, from my head.)
After you know all that, finding one that "actually works"
in that MB might be the real ordeal...
Remember that if the HD is still original, (or over 5 years)
the whole thing could "go south" in an instant...
The whole thing sounds like trouble. Ummm...
