a. the BIOS reports (when turning power on, before booting or in Setup) that
no drive is connected
b. the BIOS reports the drive but FDISK does not identify any drives (boot a
DOS floppy to run FDISK)
c. both BIOS and FDISK see the drive, but DOS / Windows do not have any C:
drive letter.
I'm betting a.) since his computer was able to format the drive that
his system bios supports over the 32g limit while juniors does not.
FWIW & for the record there was an Fdisk that came with 98 that only
worked up 64g <http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;en-us;263044&>
