Hi Bernie - You can do both from Windows Explorer: TOOLS>MAP NETWORK DRIVE.
Disconnect the existing network drive, then remap it and assign the desired drive letter. In the same TOOLS>MAP NETWORK DRIVE window where you do that, there is a box that can be ticked to reconnect when you log on. IMO, the network drive feature in XP is a MUCH under used capability.
