If you uninstall .NET Framework 1.1 -- after installing
.NET Framework 2.0 -- it will "break" .NET Framework 2.0 --
because the required mscoree.dll will be removed.
That was possibly why mscoree.dll was found to be missing
( this happened to me ).
( Note: I found that .NET Framework 1.1 (if needed) must be
reinstalled BEFORE .NET Framework 2.0 -- even if that requires
first uninstalling .NET Framework 2.0. )
In the words of Maxwell Smart Secret Agent, "Very interesting but stuuupid".
Thanks for that insight but what is the need for .NET Framework 2.0
at this point in time?
