Not sure what you mean! Access is a multi-user application facility
so - stick the database (mdb) file wherever you want - and set the other client PC's to be able to access it Not sure about the current version - but way back when you had the option to install it with, or without access control (security) The main problem is to stop people copying the database, because the encryption wasn't that good And, do these users actually need access to the database, or just the ability to have the database facility generate a pre-defined report for them to view? - and remember you can access the Access database by drawing data down into Excel, or running a query via .net or VBA macro JimB ----- Original Message ----- From: "Pete Holsberg" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, February 16, 2006 9:36 PM Subject: On-line Access Database Host? > The non-profit that employs my wife uses an Access database to store > information about their donors. > > The database now resides on several machines and is passed along via email. > > One employee needs the ability to edit the database and two board > members need access for the purpose of generating reports and analyzing > donor information. > > Are there hosts for Access databases? > > -- > Pete Holsberg > Columbus, NJ > > Treat everyone the way you want to be treated. > > -- > ---------------------------------------- > To Change your email Address for this list, send the following message: > CHANGE WIN-HOME your_old_address your_new_address > to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Note carefully that both old and new addresses are required. > > -- ---------------------------------------- To Change your email Address for this list, send the following message: CHANGE WIN-HOME your_old_address your_new_address to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Note carefully that both old and new addresses are required.
