Access is a multi-user application facility

so - stick the database (mdb) file wherever you want - and set the other
client PC's to be able to access it

Not sure about the current version - but way back when you had the option to
install it with, or without access control (security)

The main problem is to stop people copying the database, because the
encryption wasn't that good

And, do these users actually need access to the database, or just the
ability to have the database facility generate a pre-defined report for them
to view?

and remember you can access the Access database by drawing data down into
Excel, or running a query via .net or VBA macro
