Maybe there is a difference between using the phone as a modem and
using the laptop as a modem, Wayne. I don't really know.
I do know that I have Verizon Wireless Mobile Office on my laptop.
Maybe it wasn't necessary since you say the A530 works as a modem.
I'm still thinking there is a confusion in terms maybe.
Using Mobile Office "does not" require you to sign up for anything
extra with Verizon. You seem to think it does.
I know there has been a lot of changes in the past three years, and I'm
trying to get to the bottom of everything.
I'm gonna get on the EVDO forum and see what I can find out.
Three years or so ago Mobile Office consisted of Quick 2 Net,
Dial-up-Data Service and Express Network (1XRTT). I think what I
used to connect with this was called QuickLink.
