I looked thru the "phonescoop" site & it lists my phone & all of its
features. It looks like it uses the same data pacaket as the 8100.
There wasn't any data cables in the box whey I bought this phone.
There never is any data cables with the phones. VZW gave me the data
kit but it was separate when I bought the Samsung A310 from them but
only because I told them the deal was contingent on acquiring the
data kit otherwise I was sticking with my Motorola Timeport. RS has
them for sale for certain qualifying phones. If one were to Google
for "cell phone data kit" you would find hundreds of them or at least
that many companies that sell them.
FWIW <http://howardforums.com/> is a great place to find out the
latest on phones &/or US/Canadian service providers. Also
<http://www.wirelessadvisor.com/> & <http://forums.wirelessadvisor.com/>
Again in the fwiw dept. I had my cell phone service turned off for
over a year & then just had it turned back on a month ago. VZW tried
very hard to sell me a new phone & I wouldn't have it even tho the
1st bill is for 2 months of service & the $35 1 yr activation
fee. The first thing I did was test the cell phone out with my
laptop that I use while camping & other than having to change the UN
to the new phone # everything worked fine as it did before then I
used it again last weekend unless I only dreamt that I had but then
why is the cable still sticking out of my laptop? Oh yes, I used
Express Network 2 hrs west of here from a Holiday Inn parking lot in
Lima, OH as well on 02-16-06. I had my 4.1mp digital camera with me
so I don't need a camera phone.
