Yeah.  The capital C= thing is Euro but definitely isn't related to the
little down arrow.

Did you change the typeface for the alt+0128?  If not, you get the Euro.

Aha! It's the "Euro" symbol!

Speaking of fonts, when I look at some of the fonts files, some of the
characters are shown as squares (or rectangles). What does that mean?
