I really like the free Copernic desktop search. It works with network files and
the Internet can be search with the same search box. Peter Deegan (co-founder

Handbook ($10) and says this (at page 20): "Copernic is a more powerful desktop
search product for documents and emails with better options and configurability
than other free rivals."
