If you can get the model numbers of the boxen you would like these to play on then go to http://www.videohelp.com/ to look up those models it'll tell you which kinds of disks it'll play.

My studies have shown that Ritek 8x -R disks play in the most players & if they don't it's because the player is so old that it won't play any recordables of which there are quite a few of those out there. If some one needs a stand alone DVD player then I highly recommend the Philips DVP-642 that one can get at Walmart for $60 as it plays just about everything.
