5G~ is "stuck" in WinME Recycle Bin...

I have a fairly new install (2-3 years) of Win-ME.
This is the install that dual booted with WindowsServer2003,
but it was removed a while back.
I use that box when "my real computer" is busy doing something.

It was using the NT bootloader until today. I started to notice
that was a VERY poor way to leave the system, (no safe mode,
or fully working boot menu, etc), so I wanted to "fix" that part
of it... I started recording an Image file before I started "playing"
with ANYTHING, and strange things started to happen...

I did an Acronis TI 9 backup of the drive, and that seemed to
trash the NTbootloader... (No system disk, can't boot, etc...)
I did not do a restore, etc -- (??)

So I repaired the WinME bootloader and system files, (sys c: with
an ME boot disk) and now I have noticed this "new?" problem...

I have 1.2 G "used" showing in WinME for the "C" drive,
but Acronis wants to "back-up" over 6G for this SAME drive.

I used BartPE to "see" where the space was being used, but I can
NOT "see" the files in the recycle bin, only the size of that directory...
This is very "odd"... I have not given it much thought yet, and need
some ideas...

Like ---
How to get the drive (which is a year or two old) "cleaned up"
so I can properly back it up... A re-install in not a good option.
There "has" to be a better way than a format (or ZAP) of this drive...
