I can't answer your question as to "why," but the only commonality appears to be the listserv.
Aside from that, what is happening is not consistent, user-to-user. E.g., you have received NO multiple copies, some receive multiple copies of EVERYTHING, and others, like me, are receiving multiple copies of SOME messages. We have a variety of ISPs, mail servers, and mail programs involved so there is no common thread there. For example, I use Hughes.net (ex Direcway) 2-way satellite for net access, mail washer for an initial email program, and am subscribed using email through one of my own domains.
