Ignore DVI. You don't need it, despite what anyone else says. I've not
seen any recent generation LCD that didn't produce a crystal clear picture
from a VGA signal.

You told us before the monitor has a VGA connector. So use a VGA cable and
connect the VGA port from the computer to the VGA port of the monitor. Case
closed.

So how do I get the DVI of the monitor connected to the supposedly (but
perhaps
nonexistant) DVI connector of the nVidia GeForce FX5200XT graphics card? The
card
came with an HP a640n desktop which I purchased approximately September
2004.
