I've done that, actually, and it does work well. Problem is that in [EMAIL PROTECTED]@[EMAIL PROTECTED] XP/Home there *is*no* security tab, so you need to do security stuff [at best] from the command line. What I've done, which is a PITA, is to boot into SAFE mode and in SAFE mode you _do_ get the security tab back, but not in normal mode. What a stupid decision [it'd be one thing to make that be the 'default' for XP/Home, but you'd think they'd have left a registry key or something to override that for home- users-with-a-clue. On the other hand, I haven't tried it but as per the suggestion yesterday GIYF and I have this: <http://wwwthep.physik.uni-mainz.de/~frink/chown/readme.html> That, along with fileacls, should make messing with this stuff a bit less painful.. /Bernie\ -- Bernie Cosell Fantasy Farm Fibers mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Pearisburg, VA --> Too many people, too few sheep <-- -- ---------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, mailto: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Is your picture included in the Official Win-Home List Members Profiles Page? http://www.besteffort.com/winhome/Profiles.html If not, write to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
