My daughter's Thinkpad is acting up and I want to replace it with an Acer
Aspire 1642WLMi Pentium M 1.73GHz 512MB 80GB DVD±RW or someting similar at a
price af £550 or thereabout. (comments or suggestions?)
The problem is that she lives in Paris, I live in Copenhagen - and she needs a
US/UK setup with proper keyboard and WinXP edition, so I thought that I could
order it in UK and have it shipped to Paris, but I have not found an outfit
that will handle that transaction.
I could get a Danish company called Zepto to build a Znote 4015 with UK
keyboard and operating system, but they will only send it COD in order for us
to pay the lower French sales tax (VAT) and we don't know how long it will take
for the French customs to handle that, so theoretically it would be best to get
the laptop from UK.
Can one of our UK members suggest a company that would want to handle this?
