Even tho I already had 3yrs of French in a UK school when we moved
State side I switched from French to Latin because the French teacher
spat as he spoke while I was sitting in front of the class so I
transferred to a Latin asap.
Sounds like we had similar schooling. I had a year of French while
living in Europe. When we moved Stateside I switched to two years
of Latin. Many people think of Latin as a useless dead language, but
it is the basis of much of our scientific and medical terminology, as
well as giving me a better understanding of grammar in general.
