Here is a good one but it got me for 2 days.

I just put a new MOBO in my server - changed the case too - same CPU &
same Hdds just different MOBO.

Also stuffed an ASrock Mobo + AMD64 3700 and 1Gb PC3200 400MHz ram in
the old box + 40Gb Hdd from Wife's old machine (AMD XP 1700 on msi MOBO)

All had (has) the same installation of Win XP pro as it did before.

Both machine booted Ok and only the individual drivers for the chip sets
and video cards + sata/raid drivers + sound needed installing.

That's it - all up and running but - nobody could access the server?

Logged into the ADSL Router setup page and found that the address was
changed for the FTP-Server to 05 from 02. So I went into the firewall,
WAN connection routing etc and change 02 to 05. Could now log on to the
server and the persons wanting FTP access could also log on.

Last night All dead again - nothing had been switched off - well the
server was running 24/7 but the other computers were switched off
Saturday night. Went into the Router setup and found that for some
strange reason the Server had been reassigned back to 02 so I had to
reset all the addresses for the server.

What's up doc?

My brain hurts......
