A 2.4GHz cordless phone can indeed interfere with 802.11b/g wireless devices. I got a 5.8GHz cordless phone to
eliminate the interference.

I'm getting terrible performance from a new router, the (horrid) alcatel speedtouch 576 (no built-in switch, so no wired LAN, I had to install a second NIC to support my LAN). It's great on the host PC (mine), but wireless performance is close to zero, and the wireless PC is currently only 4 feet away, behind me (using a new 3com usb dongle, also tried a new cable & wireless, both 11g). Could it be because the digital (ie cordless phone) base-unit is sitting right next to the unit?
