Tried to reason with it, tried to be nice to it and give it an update
from v101 to v301 but no go.
One particular computer out of 4 keeps changing it's address.
For 2 years now it's been called FTP-SERVER and had the network address
192.168.0.2
Ok so I swapped the MOBO but still running the same XP installation on
the same Hdd and it still used the original (as above) name and address.
Suddenly I couldn't connect to it from work so when I checked it I found
the address had changed to 0.5 so I changed everything to do with the
server to 0.5 then it reverted overnight back to 0.2
After the firmware update it logged on as 0.5 but after a MS update it
registered as 0.2 then it rebooted again and now it back to 0.5
