I require some help.
I purchased a used laptop, a Dell Inspiron 3800. I was trying to
replace the HD in it. Nothing wrong with old HD, just want to go
from 6gb to 20gb. I cloned the drive, put in the laptop and it wants
a password. If I try and by-pass the password, it shows no HD in the
bios settings.
As far as I am aware, there is no password assigned to this laptop,
but it will be a few days before I can contact the person I purchased it from.
I tried to just format the new HD and put it in there and it cam up
with the same thing.
Any thoughts on what to do with this and how to correct it?
