If you get any of it on you, or anything else, be sure to wash it off in
COLD water. Remember...heat is what fuses the toner. Of course....if you
like two tone hands.......

I'm not so sure that you can swap toner from one cart to another without
making a mess. And you don't want to make a mess with toner if you can
avoid it. The stuff is much finer than dust and goes right through
ordinary
vacuum cleaner bags. I wouldn't want to breathe it. I guess a hepa
filter
would stop it but don't quote me on that unless you read it somewhere else
first!
That's about the extent of my toner knowledge unfortunately. I worked on
impact printers, those "other guys" did the laser printers. Back in the
day...

Subject: Laser printer toner swapping?
Hi,
Have an HP laser printer, about 6 years old. Still the same toner
cartridge. One day I'll have to add some :-)
Anyone know if the same toner is used in all laser printers? I've
seen it for sale "in a container" that you can add. Want to do
another trick - some gave me a couple of new cartridges from another
printer and I want to slice them open and remove the toner to be
added later to my HP cartridge.
The new carts are sealed and I plan on keeping the toner sealed.
Basic question: is all black toner the same?
Regards,
Rich
