Security Center is has no complaints about my AVG Free.
But if that happened here, I'd try an uninstall/re-install of AVG.
AVG will not update properly but for a year or so. Once yours gets so old it
is not working properly after updating it, uninstall it and install the
latest version. This has bailed me out a time or two.
