But who reads packet headers? :)
What they were saying was that only email clients give away the
netbios name so the average person can find it but even then, only
some (or one) email client does it and only if the smtp server does
not rewrite headers.

the only difference is the PC identifier that is added to the packet
header. Email has nothing to do with this !
