Actually, the merchant makes some money, but the mfgr doesn't, but has
their own reason for wanting to move'm.  I don't know much about that
sort of volume merchandising.   I buy low and sell high.  That makes
more sense to me <smile>.



They are also working on the statistics that there is something less than 100% submission of the rebates. Then they hire firms to handle the rebates who sometimes make it harder to get the rebate. Like sending a notice that you didn't submit a UPC, receipt, etc. and then so many people just drop out there. I always pursue it further until they pay up! I make sure they always lose money on me! ;-)
