No info specific to this specific feature/lack-thereof, but consider this: While the file formats are compatible, there have been new features added since Word 2000 that Word 2000 doesn't know how to deal with.
It might also be a bug, if your 2000 software isn't fully service-packed. However, today our marketing lady told me that she has created some new documents in Word 2003 that use an imbedded image as a letterhead. When this document is opened in Word 2000 the images are not displayed, nor does it give any indication there should be an image present. Is this a known issue or are we doing something daft?
