Hi All,

Few days ago I posted a link to a good deal on an IOGrear KVM switch,
which also switched audio between to machines.

Well, I ordered one and got it today. Connected it and it would not
recognize my mouse. Called TS and got a heavily accented lady, who
told me to return it. Asked her if there are any drivers to be
installed for Win98, she read her script for a while and said no.

Well there are drivers to be installed, but they are native to Win98.
Got over that hurtle. Now I tested the sound, as that is why I got
this thing to begin with. Had another KVM before that.

Somehow this POS manages to mess up the sound to the point that one
would not want to listen to it. The sound lacks any base, or I'd
say any frequencies below 1KHz. Reminds of the cheap japanese AM
radio.

Question to the group: is anyone using a KVM with sound switching?
And is the sound acceptable?

I'm about to return this junk to Amazon, where I got it.

Would call IOGear TS, but it's a paid line, with hard to understand
people, who do not know much.

Regards,

RichK
