The MS guys may not ever have been bleeding edge but they did employ a lot
of very good programmers there.

That was the first of many... i don't know the correct figures
(depends where you look, some say 99.9 copycat :)), but i do know much
of their line was not their original ideas. They bought a lot of
software... but they also took others ideas and made them better...
