Ah yes, and SonicWall is an enterprise firewall appliance.
It would seem the ftp server's 2 ports (control and data) have
to be opened for both incoming and outgoing traffic.
Unfortunately, I am not familiar with the SonicWall device to
be of much help. :(

BTW be sure the outside computer has a properly configured
firewall, if one is being used.
