My problem was just like the one you first described. I believe it is/was
heat related and was caused by the case heating up. As soon as I get the
minimum components needed (kindly provided by this group) I will be putting
the old system back together in the old case. I will try the insulation
under the motherboard discussed by Wayne, and let you know if it works.
