Anyone come across a utility that can extract a MS Office install key from
the registry files themselves? ie you have a broken/nonbootable windows
install and you want to pull the keys from the registry files themselves,
winnt\system32\config\software

I am in this situation with a client, his system drive borked running win2k,
I was able to recover some of the data including the registry files and using
WWR, I can browse the files and recover non-encrypted/obscured keys.

I know he owns a copy of Office XP because I sold it to him about 3-4 years,
however I wasn't keeping track of keys for my clients at that point. He's
doing some major renovation's on his house and can't find the cd. I know it
will turn up, but now that I've replaced the drive and have installed XP and
all his other software, I need to install office. I have the same
installation media of my own, but no way to get his key back,

Suggestions?
