Just got off a conference call with a client and Vonage tech support. Client
was trying to get his Vphone (the little usb dongle thing) working under XP
Pro with Standard/Poweruser rights.

In this environment it errors out that "failed to find autorun device", in
discussion with the tech he said it creates a virutual cd-rom drive each time

and loads the software from that similar to U3 devices. I pointed out that U3

devices work the same way and that they don't exhibit the problem that the
vonage device does, then I launched into a bit of a tirade on companies that
don't write software and build hardware that works under non-admin rights
accounts. I mean the NT security model has been around for over 10 years for
crying out loud. I wonder how vonage is going to deal with Vista <sigh>.

Anyhow, any tips on getting this to work with a power user account? I'll be
firing up regmon and filemon when I get onsite unless I hear otherwise.
