Amen to the comment regarding Maxthon. A great browser to be sure.

Now that we've confused the threads, I'm not at all pleased with the latest
Vista release and after about 12 hours of irritating frustration have
re-loaded the 5728 build which has run very well for me (in the 2 weeks I've
had it).

RC2 really looks like it was pushed out the door. Chief problem with RC2 on
my machine / network was with networking and trying to synch files across
the SOHO LAN. Every time I wanted to do something that involved using a file
or copying a file or synching directories on other machines on the network,
I would lose the connection. First I would lose internet then any ability to
browse the network.

Checking the newsgroups adds some credence to the fact that networking /
file sharing seems to have been broken on this release.

Still problems also with missing drivers. Canon (S40 digi, and 4200F
scanner) appears not ready for vista. There are no drivers for them yet.

I downloaded it shortly after Gary posted the URL with my 5 Mbps
connections got 665KB/s but it was late at night & don't usually do
quite that well but FlashGet didn't detect it at all & I downloaded
straight from the browser figuring that I had better leave well enough
alone.

BTW did I thank you for turning me on to Maxthon? I had tried it
when it was MyIE2 or some such thing & wasn't all that impressed but
I sure am now.
