Curious that in one build issued 2 weeks after 5728 that NIC drivers could suddenly become flaky (and not the least bit flaky on 5728). Oh well, life in the beta fastlane. Incidentally, I'm running my networking off my mobo (MSI 7125) with the most current BIOS.

Here is another take on the latest Vista release... "I'm not seeing any problems with networking. I regularly copy files I'm working on to an XP Pro computer and a Windows Server 2003 computer for backups. When I'm working on a web site I copy about 15 to 30 MB every half hour or so. I also have mp3's streaming from my XP pro computer almost all the time I'm using Vista. Most of the networking problems seem to be related to flakey NIC drivers not some underlying problem with Vista. So far 5744 has worked flawlessly for me with about six hours of actual use. Most of that was with Expression Web Designer and Office 2007. EWD in particular seems quite a bit faster than it was in previous versions of Vista. I still can't play avi's encoded with xvid though. :-( That's my holy grail with Vista." -- ---------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, mailto: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Is your picture included in the Official Win-Home List Members Profiles Page? http://www.besteffort.com/winhome/Profiles.html If not, write to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
