The weird thing I ate quite often as a kid, but only rarely as an
adult, was a snack we called "peanut butter and coffee". Spread your
favorite peanut butter over one or more slices of white bread,
sprinkle generously with sugar, and then pour creamed coffee over it
(folding and dunking the bread works too if you don't want to dirty
up a plate). On the rare occasion that I do eat it now, it always
brings a smile to my face, because it reminds me of my grandmother.
