Check for documentation on the manufacturers site and on the CD about the motherboard also, if you nought it separately from the case - check for documentation in the box,
Does your system have a USB floppy drive Also - do you need to jumper the hard drive to work with the motherboard And .. have you considered your backup/recovery strategy - from corrupted partition tables through, duff boot files, OS not booting, and the booted system not functioning If you are not happy with booting recovery CD's, I'd suggest including a small recovery partition - partition management and backup/restore software. (minimal OS - no userid protection - after activation you ain't going to use it when online) JimB ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jim Anno" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, October 21, 2006 5:27 PM Subject: Re: Installing XP Pro on SATA hard drive > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Wayne Johnson" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: <[email protected]> > Sent: Saturday, October 21, 2006 12:17 PM > Subject: Re: Installing XP Pro on SATA hard drive > > > > At 11:56 AM 10/21/2006, Jim Anno typed: > >>Neither the motherboard nor the hard drive come with a floppy.
