Friend of mine went to Best Buy and bought a 60 gig WD USB for 80 bucks. It
does not need a power cord, just power thru the USB.

Subject: USB Drives

Hi Folks,

Anyone familiar with these two drive brands:

MicroGem 6 GB High Capacity Portable Storage USB Drive

http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=70016052&loc=114&adid=17
686&dcaid=17686#description

It's an 6 GIG drive for $59.99 with FREE shipping from buy.com
====================

MAX 8GB USB Flash Drive $46.00 PLUS $14.00 Shipping =$50.00

http://www.thecomputerwarehouseinc.com/productmain.asp?ID=130
===================

I know the cost on both is about the same. But is there some reason that
the
MicroGem is more money for less storage? Is it a better drive?

Or is there a DIFFERENT brand in the same price range that you would
recommend.

BTW, I would be backing up to and restoring from it weekly, at least.

Thanks a bunch!

Jim
