You don't know that ! I agree that it is quite possible, which is why
it is recommended to run the tool for an extended period.
I have seen win machines running for weeks with bad ram, particularly
where there is a very large amount. The data on the hard disk
gradually gets corrupted and the machine fails.
I will be honest, Linux is very good at showing up bad hardware. I
can think of more than one occasion where I have added or tried to
install Linux and failed because of it! Yet wins was running without
any apparent problem.
