Got a client at which I recently put in a Fortinet FG-50A, plan was to use
the free version of the Forticlient and only install the VPN component.
Customer was already running Norton Antivirus 2007 and had just upgraded all
the machines to 2007 before I came on the scene.

I installed the Forticlient 3.0.308, tested VPN, works as expected, however I
noticed that norton's incoming/pop3 email scan now times out and stops email
from downloading. Didn't test with outgoing messages. Disabling the pop3 scan
feature allows mail to download normally in outlook but no scanning for
viruses/spyware.

Uninstalling the forticlient and all is working normally again.

Anyone seen this before?

I have put in a case with Fortinet tech support, but haven't heard anything
back yet.
