HI all-
I am curious if anyone out there is using win4lin with x4 on debian woody.
I read the help pages regarding a few options like "backingstore" which
seemed to do what I thought when I first upgraded X. I tend to run "apt-get
dist-upgrade" on the box quite often to see whats new. As of the last one,
even with backingstore switched on in the /etc/X11/XF86Config file as
specified in the search pages, it now exhibits the behavior it did before
without applying the option to the file.
This is not a big deal to me because I tend to start win4lin fullscreen from
the console most time. The other thing which does not seem to work after
upgrading (at least for me) is that launching fwin from a running X session
dies with invalid access permission from Xlib. I tried using the xhost +
thing and adding a file called /etc/X0.hosts and /etc/X1.hosts which I
specified who could connect but no go. I can launch a second X server with
no problems though and it shows up on the second VC 8 like normal.
Anybody seen this with debian woody?
