I recently got the navidad virus on my win4lin installation. I was able to clean windows without re-installing, and I'd like to tell you all how I did it: 1. First, because o no ms network, and because I have no Outlook, the navidad virus doesn't complete its infection and crashes before it fineshes. But your system is unbootable. 2. Just reboot into dos (with errors and such, but don't worry), go to c:\windows\command and run scanreg /restore You'll be able to choose a backed-up registry to restore. Choose the one just before you ran navidad, and you should be ok. Before rebootinf into windows delete the files 'winsvrc.*' that navidad places under windows\system. After that, you should be ok.
