It seems I will have to try to provide some more information if anyone is
going to solve my problem. I had a fully functional installation of Win4Lin,
I upgraded to XFree86 4.0.1 - no problems with Win4Lin after that.
I tried to upgrade to KDE 2.0 and the installation was not successful. I
tried a few things and none of them worked, kpackage and a few other programs
stopped working, so I figured I must have done some serious damage, so I
reloaded RH6.2 over the top of my existing (but by this stage not very
functional - at least not in KDE) RH6.2 install. This was successful, I had
KDE 1 working fine again, then I tried to install KDE 2.0 again, this time I
succeeded. A little later I tried to start Win4Lin and that was when the
error I described below first occurred. I tried to fixsymlinks, re-installed
the win4lin rpms, no joy, ran out of ideas and sent a message to this mailing
group.

Subject: [Win4Lin-users] Help - There is no UNIX drive in your configuration

Hi, I am using Win4Lin 1.0.2. I recently upgraded to XFree86 4.0.1 and KDE
2.0. XFree86 was no problem (apart from the upside down icons, but I know how
to fix that). I had some problems the first time I tried to install KDE 2.0
and had to reload Redhat 6.2 (I stuffed up a few things). I then Successfully
loaded KDE 2.0. Since then I get the following error message when I try to
start win4lin:

dos: ERROR: There is no UNIX drive in your configuration that is located at
/usr/merge/dosroot. There must be. Cannot continue.

I have checked that the correct kernel is being loaded, it is. I have tried
reloading win4lin - no joy. I hope someone can help me out. Thanks.

Chris
