[Win4Lin-users] Help! Can't start win4.in

I had win4lin/win98 lock up (probably ran out of resources...) and it wouldn't
quit.  I (obviously foolishly) just hit the x on the window and now I can't
restart win4lin.  I get the message:  \

Error: Missing file /etc/default/merge.
Cannot continue.                                                               
                          

I would appreciate any advice on how to recover. Thanks
