I've found a cludge which over comes this ,
if after using the long startup command , see earlier mail,
right click on the mouse and bring up display properties ... the windows
one..
select settings and reduce the screen resoltion( size), just a wee bit,
and guess what
after hitting apply back comes the windows taskbar. strangly enough the
display size dos'nt alter, but it stops it vertically wrapping,
well that broke 2 hours of boredom in a Swedish hotel with beer at $9 a
pint !!!
regards
Richard
